MBBS to MD degree

AUC offers the opportunity for eligible students with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) Degree to apply for transfer admission with advanced standing to the Medical Doctor (MD) Degree Program from an accredited university. Students accepted for transfer admission with advanced standing must complete at least two years of medical education at AUC.

Application Evaluation

The Admissions Committee takes into consideration as much information as possible that delineates an applicant’s total qualifications for admissions to the program, as well as the level of advanced standing. Placements will not be made later than semester 5, in the medical sciences portion of the curriculum.

1First time residency attainment rate is the percent of students attaining a 2024-25 residency position out of all graduates or expected graduates in 2023-2024 who were active applicants in the 2024 NRMP match or who attained a residency position outside the NRMP match.

2First-time pass rate is the number of students passing the USMLE Step 2 CK exam on the first attempt divided by the number of students whose first attempt was in 2018-2022. In order to sit for the exam students must earn an acceptable score on the NBME CCSE as listed in the catalog.
